Above is an example of the type of chart you can create with SRS Stats. This chart displays the median prices in East Hampton (red), Riverhead (green), Shelter Island (blue), Southampton (yellow), and Southold (purple) over the last 10 years.

With the SRS Stats Program you can choose, display, and print your own charts, showing property sales trends from Suffolk Research Service, Inc. transfer data by the following sorts:

Town, Village, and Zip Code Location
Time Period (Annually or monthly from 1991 through 2001)
Average Price, Median Price, Unit Sales, or Total $ Sales
Land Use Code (Vacant Land and/or Residential)

Loading SRS Stats into your computer:

This program is easy to load: Simply place the CDROM in your IBM PC-compatible computer CDROM drive; it loads automatically! (This program is not for Apple Computers.)
Two new icons, shown to the left, named "SRS Stats" and "Update SRS Stats Program", are now displayed on your screen ("desktop"). Double-click on the "SRS Stats" icon to start the program. You're now ready to start charting!

Using the SRS Stats Program:

The chart shown below plots the median price of properties sold in the Town of East Hampton for the period 1991 through the first months of 2001. Left-click with your computer mouse on a red bar to display the median price for that year. (shown: $310,000 for 2001)

At the bottom of the "SRS Stats" screen you'll see many selection buttons (shown below).

Click on the white button next to your desired selection. A black dot will now appear, indicating your selection; the chart automatically changes according to your specifications!

Pick a Town District # (0300, 0600, 0700, 0900, 1000, or "all"); within each town, choose a specific market by zip code or village name.
Choose a period for charting the last 10 years of data or monthly trends for a specific year.
Select from "average price", "median price", "unit sales", or "dollar sales".
Choose "all" property types, "210" for one family residence, or "311" for residential vacant land. (If you select "210", you'll be given a choice of charting all $ ranges within one family residential sales, or a specific range from sales under $400,000 to sales over $2 Million.)

Using the SRS Stats Charts in your Own Letters and Reports: Place an "SRS Stats" chart or table into a word document: Just click on "Help" and "How to Print" at the top of your screen (shown below) to get the simple instructions.

We update the SRS Stats database monthly; now you can too!

1) Make sure your computer is connected to the Internet.
2) Click on "Download Latest Stats Data" at the top of your screen, shown above.
3) Choose "Download Now"; wait a few minutes, and your SRS Stats program will be updated.
