Q: How do I enter pictures
for listings in Appraise@?
1) After taking the pictures, put the pictures
in your computer (i.e. floppy drive if you use the Sony Mavica or
"my pictures" if you use a USB digital camera).
2) Find the folio number for each property
using Appraise@- as an example, the folio number for
a property we just took two pictures of is folio #47878.
3) RENAME THE FIRST PICTURE you want to show
up first for the listing
a) Right click on the picture from your camera (in floppy drive
or folder from digital camera)
b) Left click on "rename"
c) Type in "147878a.jpg" for a sales listing.
i) If it's a rental listing, type in "247878a.jpg".
ii) If it's a vacant land listing, type in "347878a.jpg".
d) Press the "enter" key on your keyboard.
4) RENAME THE NEXT PICTURE for the same listing.
a) Right click on the second picture from your camera (in floppy
drive or folder from digital camera)
b) Left click on "rename"
c) Type in "147878b.jpg" for a sales listing.
i) If it's a rental listing, type in "247878b.jpg".
ii) If it's a vacant land listing, type in "347878b.jpg".
d) Press the "enter" key on your keyboard.
5) RENAME THE NEXT PICTURE (if any) for the
same listing.
a) Right click on the picture from your camera (in floppy drive
or folder from digital camera)
b) Left click on "rename"
c) Type in "147878c.jpg" for a sales listing.
i) If it's a rental listing, type in "247878c.jpg".
ii) If it's a vacant land listing, type in "347878c.jpg".
d) Press the "enter" key on your keyboard.
6) RENAME OTHER PICTURES THE SAME WAY - e.g.
folio #12345
a) Right click on the picture from your camera (in floppy drive
or folder from digital camera)
b) Left click on "rename"
c) Type in "112345a.jpg" for a sales listing.
i) If it's a rental listing, type in "112345a.jpg".
ii) If it's a vacant land listing, type in "112345a.jpg".
d) Press the "enter" key on your keyboard.
7) COPY ALL THE PICTURES AND PASTE THEM INTO
THE "RECEIVE" FOLDER OF THE SERVER
a) Select all the pictures you just renamed (go to "edit"
on the top menu and "select all" or highlight with you
mouse, right click, and copy.
b) Now, if you are on the server (main computer in the office),
double click "my computer", double click "local disc
C:", and then right click over the folder named "Receive"
and left click "paste".
c) Now, if you are on a computer that is not the server, double
click "my computer", double click "C: on server F:",
and then right click over the folder named "Receive" and
left click "paste".
8) AUTOBACK MUST BE RUN IN ORDER FOR THE
PICTURES TO SHOW UP IN appraise@
