a. On every
computer in the office, except the 'Server', "Path f: OK" should
be displayed at the bottom of the screen.
b. If "Path
f: Not OK" is displayed, you must re-map the F Path to the
"Server" computer.
To fix f:
Path -
- Right click "network neighborhood" or "My network places"
on your desktop
- Left click on "Map Network Drive"
- In the top drop-down box, choose "F"
- In the bottom drop-down box, choose \\server\C
- if this is not a choice, type in \\Server\C.
- Check the box next to "reconnect at logon"
- Click "OK".
c. If this
does not fix the "Path f"...
- double click "my Computer"; then double-click 'C: on Server
F'.
2. DAILY
BACKUP PROCEDURE
a. Reboot
the Server computer before you go home each night
- Start - Shutdown - Restart Computer
b.
Double-click "Autoback"
c. Each
Morning double click "Receive Log"
- for the most recent day, you must find either: File Copied
-- listings.mdb (shown below) Or FileDate Same, Didn't Download
-- listings.mdb
d. If you don't
find one of the above, double-click the 'ftprcve' icon and don't
press anything - just let it run.
e. When the ftprcve
program is finished, the program will disappear.
-Then, check "Receive Log" (step C above) again for File Copied
-- listings.mdb Or FileDate Same, Didn't Download -- listings.mdb.
